It is hard to believe that October has arrived and I love the crisp air and the beauty of the changing leaves...the true miracles of the season. It is just a wonder what a year can bring thinking back to last year at this time. Tim and I had just begun our nanny search and were preparing for the inevitable bed rest that I would be on in the months ahead. Along with the anxiety of a triplet pregnancy, the risks of the flu epidemic were apparent and alarming. The boys and I made a mad dash trip to Iowa to receive the H1N1 vaccination so we could resume normal life for the short time I had left vertical before mandatory bed rest. The trials and tribulations of the year are such a blur and I count my blessings every day. There is a new sense of peace - love, health, family and friends.
Charlie and Tommy started preschool last month and are having a blast! They are enjoying their independence and time with friends.
Our babies are now six months old! They are growing SO FAST! It is amazing to see their little personalities bloom and watch as they develop at such a similar pace. They have all learned to smile, laugh, roll over, giggle, and reach within a day of each other. They are so fun and interactive and Charlie and Tommy always have an audience of six little adoring eyes!
As for the kids:
Charlie is full of zest every day and I am always amazed at his never-ending energy and eager attitude! He is really enjoying school, drawing, writing and all sports, of course!
Tommy really likes going to school and seeing his teachers and new little buddies. He loves his train table, fire trucks and playing sports with Charlie.
Luke is still our cuddle bug with the puppy dog eyes that are hard to resist! He is always quick to flash his charming smile and talk to you with his playful chatter.
Ellie is our little princess who is such a content, cheery baby and she LOVES her older brothers. When they are near she is in high alert and watches their every move with complete adoration!
Andy is our gentle soul who is so easy going and peaceful. He finds his little thumb to pacify himself and rarely makes a peep. He has such a sweet demeanor and a twinkle in his eye - a true joy.
We have had a fun and active month with trips to a Twin's game, the pumpkin patch, the arboretum, as well as our familiar strolls to the neighborhood parks with the baby train! Life is good and we are embracing our time in the beautiful outdoors!
