Fall is in the air!

WOW! We have had an action-packed summer and a lot to report since the previous blog post. We moved into a new home at the end of June and have been hard at work making it our own :) We said goodbye to Omega Drive.... Once we moved in, the projects began... The kids loved watching the big cement trucks work on our new driveway and during the installation of our basketball court! It is so nice having a larger yard for the kids to run and our new play set and basketball court have made the move worth while! We had a wonderful summer with soccer, baseball and flag football - along with a trip to Iowa to visit grandparents and cousins and a few trips from family both near and far! Sister Bernadine and her future Duhawks! Charlie Man celebrated his 8th birthday in July and had a party at home with several of his closest buddies. As a ball lover, it was only appropriate to have a Twin's themed party complete with a game at the new Auge Field :) Charlie is a special young man and is growing up so fast. He continues to bless us every day with his kind, confident, playful and caring personality. We love you Charlie Man! Last month, our household accomplished a huge milestone - WE ARE DIAPER FREE! Andy Man was one proud little boy when he mastered this feat and earned his bubble gum treat from Daddy! Charlie and Tommy are one week into another school year and are thrilled to be learning and playing with friends all day long. Their presence at home is missed, but we anxiously await their smiles as they descend from the bus stop each afternoon. Andy, Luke and Ellie will start preschool this week and speech the following week. It will be eerily quiet around the house for these few hours....but I am sure I can find ways to pass the time :)

Spring into Summer!

Hello! We have had an action pact Spring and look forward to our summer filled with games and change! April was a fabulous month with a trip to MN from Aunt Lori and her three boys from Omaha! The kids adore their cousins and a great time was had by all! Later in the month, we flew with Charlie and Tommy to their cousin, Nick's, First Communion in Denver. It was a fun-filled weekend with Addie's 2nd birthday party and Nick's big day, along with hotel parties and flag football games. We savored our time with the big boys and they deserved the special weekend away :) May was also a very special month for our family. We celebrated another dear cousin, Becca's, First Communion, Charlie started Spring soccer and had his Spring program at school, we went to Des Moines to visit Grandma and Grandpa for Mother's Day, bought a home and we sold our home! It was a whirlwind of a month and we look forward to the month of July when we are moved and settled :) Although we love, love, love our home, it was inevitable that the triplets need space and our Ellie girl needs a princess room of her own. We now have a nice, flat backyard and our first order of business is to install a basketball court for our ball-loving tribe! Daddy, Charlie and Tommy also enjoyed a Twin's game this month at Target Field! The boys were able to run the bases after the game and were also given a Joe Mauer practice ball during this fun-filled day! Tommy graduated from Kindergarten this June and we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa. It is truly hard to believe how fast our little ones grow and that this school year is now over. Tommy had a great year and I look forward to a fun filled summer with the kids! We know summer is here when bedtimes get a little bit (okay... a lot!) relaxed, we play outside all day long, our evenings consist of soccer and baseball and backyard games, and the ICE CREAM TRUCK drives down our street!!!!! Oh NO!!! We missed the ice cream truck and Daddy tried to flag him down!!!! HORRAY!!!!!!!! HAPPY SUMMER!!!!

February Fun!

Winter is on the downslide and we have enjoyed our time in the snow! Sledding, skating, shoveling and building snowmen have entertained us for hours! Tim escaped the cold to visit his parents in Florida this month. Grandma Sheila also visited from Arizona and joined us in play and was, as always, a joy and tremendous help! Our Ellie is now potty trained and Luke is close to follow. Little Andy Man is the biggest cheerleader when it comes to his siblings going on the big potty, but he is not ready to join in on the fun quite yet :) The age of three for our three is just around the corner...and it is truly so hard for me to believe. My babies (who I will always call my babies) are soon to be preschoolers! Ellie is still all about pink, purple and babies and she desires a birthday cake to resemble her favorite colors and Cinderella. Andy is our green lover (anything green) and has really taken a love to choo-choo trains. Lukie is our blue guy that adores his siblings and goofing around to get his audience to laugh! Charlie and Tommy continue to enjoy fun activities at school -especially during Catholic Schools Week and the 100th day of school. The Kindergarten class was to wear a shirt with 100 things on it and Tommy decorated his shirt with 100 Star Wars Legos character stickers! He is still our lover of Legos and likes getting out in the snow. Charlie finished up his basketball camp this month and is looking forward to spring basketball and soccer! Charlie and Tommy have started swimming lessons this month and we have all enjoyed our time at the pool as a family to swim and play :) Happy Spring!
