Our Sweethearts!

It is hard to believe that October has arrived and I love the crisp air and the beauty of the changing leaves...the true miracles of the season. It is just a wonder what a year can bring thinking back to last year at this time. Tim and I had just begun our nanny search and were preparing for the inevitable bed rest that I would be on in the months ahead. Along with the anxiety of a triplet pregnancy, the risks of the flu epidemic were apparent and alarming. The boys and I made a mad dash trip to Iowa to receive the H1N1 vaccination so we could resume normal life for the short time I had left vertical before mandatory bed rest. The trials and tribulations of the year are such a blur and I count my blessings every day. There is a new sense of peace - love, health, family and friends.

Charlie and Tommy started preschool last month and are having a blast! They are enjoying their independence and time with friends.

Our babies are now six months old! They are growing SO FAST! It is amazing to see their little personalities bloom and watch as they develop at such a similar pace. They have all learned to smile, laugh, roll over, giggle, and reach within a day of each other. They are so fun and interactive and Charlie and Tommy always have an audience of six little adoring eyes!

As for the kids:

Charlie is full of zest every day and I am always amazed at his never-ending energy and eager attitude! He is really enjoying school, drawing, writing and all sports, of course!

Tommy really likes going to school and seeing his teachers and new little buddies. He loves his train table, fire trucks and playing sports with Charlie.

Luke is still our cuddle bug with the puppy dog eyes that are hard to resist! He is always quick to flash his charming smile and talk to you with his playful chatter.

Ellie is our little princess who is such a content, cheery baby and she LOVES her older brothers. When they are near she is in high alert and watches their every move with complete adoration!

Andy is our gentle soul who is so easy going and peaceful. He finds his little thumb to pacify himself and rarely makes a peep. He has such a sweet demeanor and a twinkle in his eye - a true joy.

We have had a fun and active month with trips to a Twin's game, the pumpkin patch, the arboretum, as well as our familiar strolls to the neighborhood parks with the baby train! Life is good and we are embracing our time in the beautiful outdoors!

Happy 5th Birthday, Charlie!!

It is hard to believe that our little guy is FIVE years old! We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful son that brings joy to our every day. Charlie enjoyed his special day and we had a fun celebration with his aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins! Charlie is really looking forward to the upcoming year with soccer league, basketball camp, school, and he especially can't wait for the possibility of losing his first tooth!

The boys had a blast with their cousins at Charlie's birthday party!

Four Fabulous Months!

It is hard to believe the babies are now 4 months old! Luke now weighs over 13 pounds and Andy and Ellie weigh just over 11 pounds. We are all having so much fun with the smiling trio and the boys really enjoy the fun interactions and great receptions they get from their new siblings. We brought out the Bumbo chair this week to see the babies sit upright for the first time and they really seemed to enjoy the change of scenery!

This month has been action packed and fun-filled! We have enjoyed the nice weather outside at the parks, the pool, and in our own backyard on the new play set! Last weekend, we took our first road trip with the entire family to Des Moines and it went really well! The ride was slow, but smooth, and a great time was had by all!

Our Blessings!

Andy, Luke and Ellie were baptized this weekend and we enjoyed a special, fun-filled weekend with our families! It is hard to believe that our three little ones are already three months old. Each day we are so thankful for our precious miracles and enjoy watching their distinct personalities shine.

Luke is the big boy and is truly our little snuggle bug. He is happy as can be when he is being held and cuddled. His bright blue eyes glisten with each dimpled smile making it hard to ever want to put this little guy down.

Ellie Bellie is our little princess and is very smiley and happy. We often need to pause during her feedings for smiling breaks because our cheery little girl gets a little messy when she tries to smile and swallow at the same time!

Andy Man is a true charmer. He is calm and cool....our quiet little thinker. Andy looks deep into your eyes with his deep dimpled smile that truly melts my heart.

Charlie and Tommy are great big brothers and are anxious to have more sibling ball players join their team soon. Charlie is all ball all the time! He loves all sports and amazes us every day with his tenacity and endurance and pure love for the game (ANY game!!)! Tommy is our gentle one who loves playing with his train table, swinging and climbing on our new play set, and playing ball with his brother. He is constantly singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" throughout the day - A song that truly fits our family theme!

Fun with Family!

It was a very special Mother's Day weekend and we enjoyed our family and visitors! My parents spent a couple of days with us to play with the boys and cuddle with the babies! Tim's sister, Alison, and her little guy, Anthony, stopped over on Friday with Tim's parents. It was so nice seeing them and the cousins had a blast playing together :)

Let's Play Ball!

It is baseball season at the Auge household and today was a very special day for Charlie and Tommy! When I was on bed rest, Tim would often take the boys to Target during the winter months to walk around and scope out the sporting aisles. Since January, the boys have had batting helmets and bats picked out at Target and have been waiting patiently for their birthdays (not until July and October) in order to someday own this admired equipment. Since they currently eat, breathe and sleep baseball during Twin's season - we decided the boys deserve these gifts for being such amazing big brothers to Andy, Luke and Ellie. They are thrilled to be in the big league now and have enjoyed the afternoon at the ball field with daddy!

The babies are growing and doing very well! They had a weight check on Friday and Luke has reached 7 pounds! Ellie was 6 pounds 12 ounces and Andy weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces. The boys still adore the babies and love holding bottles, fetching diapers, and just watching the babies sleep :) Our house is definitely a busy one, but we would not want it any other way!

Life is good!

Spring has always been my favorite season and there are so many things I am thankful for this year! We have all been enjoying the beautiful weather - going on walks and bike rides, having a blast at the parks, and spending countless hours in our backyard playing baseball, soccer, and our own running games. We have a wonderful nanny that is great with the babies and the older boys, allowing me to still enjoy my special outings with Charlie and Tommy during the week.

The babies are growing so fast and are doing very well! They had weight checks at the clinic on Friday and Luke was 5 lbs 15 ounces, Ellie weighed 5 lbs 8 ounces and Andy 5 lbs 2 ounces. Charlie and Tommy are adjusting extremely well to their new little brothers and sister. They really enjoy helping feed bottles and even "holding" the babies :) I feel so blessed for our sweet little boys that keep me laughing throughout the day and our three little precious miracles!
