Welcome Home Luke and Ellie!

Luke and Ellie were discharged last night and it is great having them home! Charlie and Tommy were so excited to see their new siblings and wanted to hold and feed them right away! They expressed great concern for baby brother, Andy, who was not quite ready to make the trip home :( We expect him to join us in a few days and look forward to his arrival!

Making Progress!

The triplets are still in the Special Care Nursery at Abbott and are doing very well! Luke and Ellie graduated into open-air bassinets this week and are doing a great job maintaining their temperatures!
Today, the babies were transported over to Children's Hospital for the "car seat test". This test is performed by respiratory therapists and checks to make sure the babies can sit in a car seat for one hour while maintaining their oxygen saturation levels. Andy was unable to maintain his temperature outside of his isolette and was transported back to Abbott without undergoing the test :( The sweet little one needs to gain a few more ounces to help with temperature regulation. Luke and Ellie passed the test and will be ready to make the trek home once they master their feedings!

Four Days Old!

Today our little ones are four days old! They are all doing very well and have already developed their little personalities! Luke was able to graduate from the NICU at Children's Hospital and join his siblings in the Special Care Nursery on Wednesday morning. It is so nice having them all together!

Andy has been under the biliruben lights for a couple of days due to jaundice. He such a tiny little peanut - but always moving! His long limbs are in constant motion and I am sure he is going to be the triplet with never-ending energy!


Luke is a mellow fellow and loves being held and listening to our voices. Ellie is our dainty little princess and always looks so calm and cozy in her isolette. They are still all breathing on their own and doing extremely well with their feedings.


I was discharged this afternoon and was excited to join my little men at home! They are just so amazed and thrilled (as am I) that I can hang out with them and play basketball and do not have to head right up to my room to be on bed rest. It was difficult leaving my babies, but I know they are in great hands and still plan on visiting them daily.
We are so thankful for all of the wonderful meals!!! Thank you for your generosity and for thinking of us!
Spring is finally here and we look forward to the blessings of this new season!

Our Three Blessings Have Arrived!!

We have had a wonderful day and are happy to announce that our triplets have arrived! A home health nurse visit this morning revealed that Baby A's heart rate had a few significant decelerations. This was quite alarming since all three babies performed extremely well during their biophysical profiles moments before. From our home, the nurse called the Dr. and I was ordered to go immediately to Abbott for further testing. Upon arrival, Baby A continued to have multiple slow spurts and we were in surgery within 30 minutes.

Andrew Charles: 3 lbs, 10 ounces
Elizabeth Rose: 4 lbs
Luke Thomas: 4 lbs 9 ounces





Luke was sent directly to the NICU at Children's Hospital for breathing assistance, but is expected to do very well.
Ellie and Andy are doing fabulous and are at Abbott Hospital in the Special Care Nursery. All are expected to stay a few weeks due to their prematurity. We are truly blessed to have made it to 34 weeks and 1 day - Thank you so much for all of your prayers!

33 Weeks!

Today we had a great Dr. appointment and all of the babies are doing well! Baby A is the biggest and is estimated to weigh 4 lbs 7 oz, baby boys B and C are both estimated to weigh 4 lbs. It is hard to believe that at some point during the next two weeks we will be the proud parents of five! I was instructed to discontinue my contraction medicine on Sunday (34 weeks) and then we will just wait to see what happens!

After returning from the Dr., Charlie was so excited that Tim was able to take him to school, and Tommy enjoyed some extra cuddle time with Daddy before he had to head out to work for the day!

We are all doing well and I am happy to be back home :) Thanks again for the prayers!

Making room for 3, 4, & 5!

Last night was a big night at the Auge house and Tim moved Tommy's bed into Charlie's room to make room for the babies. Tommy does not favor change and has been pretty reluctant when we've discussed the idea of moving into Charlie's room since he is so proud of his own basketball-themed room. His little world has been turned upside down during the last few months with me being on bed rest, so we wanted to make sure that he was comfortable and excited for the big move across the hall. Last night he expressed a slight interest and we decided to roll with it and get things moving before he changed his mind! For the first night, we granted their request and let the boys sleep side by side. We soon realized that compromise would be needed since Charlie sleeps with the door shut and light off and Tommy needs to fall asleep with the light on and the door open. Charlie often needs to jam to some tunes to fall asleep and Tommy likes the silence. We did a slight staggering of bedtimes to make this work and everyone was happy! Overall, the boys did great, slept well and enjoyed sleeping in their "big boy baseball room" together!
Here is Tim laying with the boys - enjoying the idea that the bedtime "process" (prayers, books, tuck-ins) will take 1/2 the time with both boys in the same room!

Still Cooking!

The nurse visited our home on Monday and all of the babies scored a perfect 10/10 on their biophysical profiles! Their heart rates were very strong and reactive and the nurse commented on how the monitor picked up baby A's excitement after hearing Charlie and Tommy's voices as they entered the room!

Today we had a great clinic appointment and all three babies performed like champs during the non-stress test! My vitals and blood pressure looked great and we hope to keep these babies cooking for a while longer. A c-section date was scheduled for March 23rd (only 20 more days of bed rest at the most!!!)! Oh, what a blessing it would be to make it to this date :)

We look forward to the growth scan ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday to determine the weights of the babies.
