Fun with Family!

It was a very special Mother's Day weekend and we enjoyed our family and visitors! My parents spent a couple of days with us to play with the boys and cuddle with the babies! Tim's sister, Alison, and her little guy, Anthony, stopped over on Friday with Tim's parents. It was so nice seeing them and the cousins had a blast playing together :)

Let's Play Ball!

It is baseball season at the Auge household and today was a very special day for Charlie and Tommy! When I was on bed rest, Tim would often take the boys to Target during the winter months to walk around and scope out the sporting aisles. Since January, the boys have had batting helmets and bats picked out at Target and have been waiting patiently for their birthdays (not until July and October) in order to someday own this admired equipment. Since they currently eat, breathe and sleep baseball during Twin's season - we decided the boys deserve these gifts for being such amazing big brothers to Andy, Luke and Ellie. They are thrilled to be in the big league now and have enjoyed the afternoon at the ball field with daddy!

The babies are growing and doing very well! They had a weight check on Friday and Luke has reached 7 pounds! Ellie was 6 pounds 12 ounces and Andy weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces. The boys still adore the babies and love holding bottles, fetching diapers, and just watching the babies sleep :) Our house is definitely a busy one, but we would not want it any other way!

Life is good!

Spring has always been my favorite season and there are so many things I am thankful for this year! We have all been enjoying the beautiful weather - going on walks and bike rides, having a blast at the parks, and spending countless hours in our backyard playing baseball, soccer, and our own running games. We have a wonderful nanny that is great with the babies and the older boys, allowing me to still enjoy my special outings with Charlie and Tommy during the week.

The babies are growing so fast and are doing very well! They had weight checks at the clinic on Friday and Luke was 5 lbs 15 ounces, Ellie weighed 5 lbs 8 ounces and Andy 5 lbs 2 ounces. Charlie and Tommy are adjusting extremely well to their new little brothers and sister. They really enjoy helping feed bottles and even "holding" the babies :) I feel so blessed for our sweet little boys that keep me laughing throughout the day and our three little precious miracles!

Welcome Home Luke and Ellie!

Luke and Ellie were discharged last night and it is great having them home! Charlie and Tommy were so excited to see their new siblings and wanted to hold and feed them right away! They expressed great concern for baby brother, Andy, who was not quite ready to make the trip home :( We expect him to join us in a few days and look forward to his arrival!

Making Progress!

The triplets are still in the Special Care Nursery at Abbott and are doing very well! Luke and Ellie graduated into open-air bassinets this week and are doing a great job maintaining their temperatures!
Today, the babies were transported over to Children's Hospital for the "car seat test". This test is performed by respiratory therapists and checks to make sure the babies can sit in a car seat for one hour while maintaining their oxygen saturation levels. Andy was unable to maintain his temperature outside of his isolette and was transported back to Abbott without undergoing the test :( The sweet little one needs to gain a few more ounces to help with temperature regulation. Luke and Ellie passed the test and will be ready to make the trek home once they master their feedings!
Charlie and Tommy are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Andy, Luke and Ellie!
Thank you for your prayers!

Four Days Old!

Today our little ones are four days old! They are all doing very well and have already developed their little personalities! Luke was able to graduate from the NICU at Children's Hospital and join his siblings in the Special Care Nursery on Wednesday morning. It is so nice having them all together!

Andy has been under the biliruben lights for a couple of days due to jaundice. He such a tiny little peanut - but always moving! His long limbs are in constant motion and I am sure he is going to be the triplet with never-ending energy!

Luke is a mellow fellow and loves being held and listening to our voices. Ellie is our dainty little princess and always looks so calm and cozy in her isolette. They are still all breathing on their own and doing extremely well with their feedings.

I was discharged this afternoon and was excited to join my little men at home! They are just so amazed and thrilled (as am I) that I can hang out with them and play basketball and do not have to head right up to my room to be on bed rest. It was difficult leaving my babies, but I know they are in great hands and still plan on visiting them daily.
We are so thankful for all of the wonderful meals!!! Thank you for your generosity and for thinking of us!
Spring is finally here and we look forward to the blessings of this new season!
